Hey, come on in
I'm DeShonna Rose—artiste, movement ministress, and behavioral wellness professional devoted to helping us return to the body and remember who we are. My journey through dance, motherhood, and personal healing has shaped my mission: creating spaces where artistry meets collective liberation. Through movement, coaching, and storytelling, I guide others from survival to celebration, from disconnection to more life.
Feel free to browse around, get acquainted, and see where we might connect. I created this place for us. You belong here. (:
Artiste| Movement Ministress| Vessel for Healing.
Dance has been my #1 language since before I had words. Growing up in the South, movement flowed through me as naturally as saying "y'all"—freedom, connection, and joy embodied. But over time, the weight of the world's expectations, systems of oppression, and the daily hustle of surviving started to restrict that flow. What once felt like liberation in my body gradually became constriction—foreign and confined. Chronic stress and pain. Disconnect from Self.
I've trained, performed, and taught for most of my life—across states, stages, and seasons. My journey began in childhood studios and high school stadiums, carried me through a degree in Theatre & Dance, and led me to aerial and pole arts, where I began rewriting what strength and softness mean to me.
But my deeper work began in the dark—after survival mode did what it does, after my health declined, and after motherhood cracked me open to mirror my mess. I came face-to-face with everything I had been pushing through, dancing around and avoiding, or carrying in silence. And what saved me was grace—funny, it's the meaning of my name—De (of) Shonna (God's grace). It was breath. It was choosing life again.
Now, I live at the sweet spot between personal elevation and collective liberation. I create spaces through movement, coaching, and storytelling—where people can explore what it means to be alive. My programs (FEMMENIN, The Wellthy U, Mother Woman Restored) were born from lived experience and my studies in health psychology. They are my offering to anyone who's healing what hurts, reclaiming their body, and taking back their power.
Movement is medicine. Rest is reconnection.
Once we get through to the body, we can go beyond it, realign with who we are, and live where limitless possibility exists.
This is what I came here for:
To rise from what tried to take us out.
To dance through the stories we've quietly held.
To guide others toward wholeness through my own healing journey.
Thanks for riding with me.
✦ What I Do
I’m finding movement again as a dancer after trauma locked it away.
I speak on health and healing as someone who’s lived in a body screaming for help.
And I continue to create in real-time from a real life.
I write.
I move.
I learn.
I teach.
I feel.
I heal out loud.
You can find me blogging about life, healing, and living on your own terms. When I'm not writing, I'm usually:
* Ministering through movement—remembering dance as the language it’s always been: one that heals and connects us back to ourselves and each other.
* Co-creating and training at FEMMENIN.FIT — a space to rebuild strength from the inside out, take back our power through movement, and confidently live fully expressed lives in bodies we love.
* Coaching wellness clients at The Wellthy University- guiding them to transform harmful health patterns and show up better in their lives
* Building a supportive mom tribe at Mother Woman Restored- where mothers rediscover identity beyond caregiving and nurture themselves with the same love they give others
* Studying Health Psychology to understand what blocks self-care- so we can break barriers keeping us from prioritizing our wellbeing
* Growing nutritious foods in our garden- to unlearn scarcity, nourish our family and community, and replenish the earth
* Homeschooling and adventuring with my two boys- encouraging curiosity and freedom in our everyday lives
* Sending love letters to my community (that's you, if you're subscribed)- reminding you of your inherent worthiness and power when you need it most
This season of my life is about ease and expansion.
I’m not chasing anymore. I’m creating—and inviting.
So if higher heights, radical rest, and unapologetic self-love speak to you—
kick off your shoes, pour a little tea, and vibe with me.
